If you're like us, you realize that having more beets in your life can benefit your health in many ways. Breakfast, lunch, dinner..they fit in just about anywhere.
Well, we've found a way to add them to dessert and we think you'll be a fan! Using your Sous Vide Beets, this recipe can be ready in just under a half hour. (It'd be almost 90 minutes if you had to cook the beets from scratch.)
The best part is that all the ingredients are healthy & natural. Oh, and it's pretty darn low in sugar. Unless you decide to add some honey at the end. ;-)
Heat, eat and enjoy!
1 Package Sous Vide Beets
1 Cup Raw Organic Walnuts
1/4 Cup Raw Organic Pumpkin Seeds
3-4 Tbsp of Organic Coconut Oil
1 1/2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Honey (Optional)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Mix beets, walnuts, pumpkin seeds & cinnamon in a medium sized bowl.
Melt coconut oil in a small skillet over low heat on the stove.
Add melted coconut oil into beet mixture. Stir well.
Place mixture into a small glass baking pan.
Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
Remove pan from the oven and let it cool for 5-7 minutes.
Mix in the honey if you'd like to add a dash of sweetness.
Serve & Enjoy!
